Aquarists with fully stocked reef tanks should consider Reef Salt+. It is designed to keep up with even the most nutrient demanding coral colonies by providing them with ionically balanced macronutrients such as alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium.

A coral aquarium is a closed ecosystem in which valuable micro and macro trace elements are continuously consumed by corals at different rates, as opposed to a natural reef environment with abundant levels of micro and macronutrients. In order to maintain a healthy and stable reef aquarium, macronutrients must be continuously available. The use of Reef Salt + is highly recommended for those who do not do microelements individually, as it will help to provide these essential elements back into the water at a balanced ratio over time. Their growth, coloration, and immunity will be improved as a result.

What Makes Reef Salt+ Unique

Reef Salt + was developed after years of research into how corals grow at different parameters and colonies sizes. Following our observations, we created this product to meet the needs of corals in fully stocked tanks.

The key to marine aquarium success is stable parameters, so using Reef Salt+ when doing regular 10% water changes creates an optimal condition for coral growth and development. High-quality salt not only supports better growth, it also promotes new skeletons, ionic exchange, improves coloration, and photosynthesis.

Dosage and Storage

To achieve optimal results, it is recommended that Reef Salt+ is dissolved in RODI water at a temperature range of 24-25°C (75-77°F), with a salinity level of 33 ppt (1.025 S.G.).

To prepare the saltwater solution, add 390 grams of salt to 10 liters (2.19 US gal) of RODI water and mix for approximately 15 minutes until the salt is fully dissolved.

Once the saltwater is completely dissolved, it can be used immediately. It is important to note that the dissolved saltwater should be utilized within 3 days, as evaporation can alter the water’s parameters.

It is recommended to store the prepared saltwater in a tightly closed container. If stored for several days, it is advised to check its salinity level before use.
